Best WhatsApp Plugins for WooCommerce in 2026
The best WhatsApp plugin for WooCommerce depends on what you want WhatsApp to do. To open a chat, Joinchat or Click to Chat, both free. To let customers send their order over WhatsApp, Order on Mobile for WooCommerce or OneClick Chat to Order, also free. To notify customers automatically every time the order status changes, you need the official API: MyD Notifications does it without a Meta account, from $9 a month, and Notiqoo, WANotifier and Order Notifications on WhatsApp do it from the store’s own number.

The three kinds of WhatsApp plugin
- Chat button. A button opens WhatsApp with a prefilled message. The customer does the writing.
- Order via WhatsApp. The customer builds a cart or finishes checkout and is sent to WhatsApp with an order summary. The order only reaches the store if they hit send.
- Automatic notification. The message goes out on its own when the order status changes, with nobody pressing anything. That only exists through the official WhatsApp API.
A plugin built on WhatsApp links sends nothing by itself. A notification that sends itself has a per-message cost somewhere: either you pay Meta directly, or a service bundles it into a plan.

- What it does: a floating button that opens the WhatsApp app on mobile and WhatsApp Web or Desktop on a computer. On WooCommerce it adds a button next to “Add to cart” with product details in the message.

- What it does: a button that opens WhatsApp, with buttons on product and shop pages using the product name, price and SKU.
- Price: free. Pro from $18 a year (1 site), with multiple agents, business hours and a form before the chat. (pricing)
Social Chat
- What it does: buttons on product and category pages. Premium adds “WhatsApp Order” as a payment method at checkout, which sends the order details to the store’s WhatsApp.
- Price: free. Premium from $49 a year (1 site). (pricing)
Order via WhatsApp
Order on Mobile for WooCommerce (ours)
- What it does: order buttons on the product page and the cart, and a redirect to WhatsApp after checkout with the order summary. The message is customizable with order and per-product details, and there is an Elementor widget.
- How it sends: a WhatsApp link. The customer hits send.
- Price: free on WordPress.org. With MyD Notifications, the same plugin also sends status notifications to the customer and a new order alert to the store.
OneClick Chat to Order
- What it does: completes the order over WhatsApp from the cart, with every item, and overrides the thank-you page to send the order details. Supports multiple WhatsApp numbers and includes variations and coupons in the message.
- How it sends: WhatsApp links, no API.
- Price: free for unlimited sites, with paid add-ons for marketplaces like Dokan, WCFM and WC Vendors. (WordPress.org)
Automatic order notifications
MyD Notifications (ours)
- What it does: messages the customer when the order moves to one of the statuses you pick, and alerts the store on every new order. Works with Order on Mobile for WooCommerce and with MyD Delivery.
- How it sends: Meta’s official API, from the MyD Notifications number.
- Meta account: not needed. No template to get approved and no card on file with Meta.
- Price: $9/mo (250 messages), $16/mo (500) or $26/mo (1,000). The store pays only the plan. If the month’s messages run out, sending pauses until the next billing cycle. (plans)

Notiqoo
- What it does: the free version sends order notifications, has custom trigger buttons and abandoned cart recovery, and can send orders to the admin. Pro adds an inbox, broadcasts, WhatsApp code login and cash-on-delivery order confirmation.
- How it sends: the official Cloud API, straight from WordPress.
- Meta account: needed. The plugin page asks for a dedicated number that is not in use on the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app. (WordPress.org)
- Price: free. Pro at $99 a year, which the page presents as promotional pricing. Meta charges per message on top, as their own FAQ notes. (pricing)
WANotifier
- What it does: new order, cash on delivery and status notifications (custom statuses included), abandoned cart, a chat button with a chatbot, and campaigns to contacts.
- How it sends: the WANotifier platform on top of the official API. The store’s number is connected through Meta’s signup flow and can stay on the WhatsApp Business app.
- Meta account: needed, with templates created and approved in advance.
- Price: from $69/mo (Essentials: 4,000 messages, up to 1,000 contacts), plus Meta’s fees, billed directly by Meta. There is a 7-day free trial. (pricing)
Order Notifications on WhatsApp (WooCommerce.com)
- What it does: customer and admin notifications on any status, an inbox, abandoned cart recovery with coupons, back-in-stock alerts, unpaid order reminders and review requests.
- How it sends: the official Cloud API, from the store’s own verified number, with no service in between.
- Meta account: needed. It asks for an access token, WhatsApp Business account ID, phone number ID and approved templates.
- Price: $79 a year. The page does not mention Meta’s fees, but since messages go out from the store’s own Meta account, Meta’s per-message charges land on the store. (WooCommerce.com)
How to choose
- You just want customers to reach you: Joinchat or Click to Chat.
- You sell over WhatsApp and want the full order in the chat: Order on Mobile for WooCommerce or OneClick Chat to Order.

- You are fine setting up a Meta account and paying per message directly: Notiqoo (free) or Order Notifications on WhatsApp ($79/yr). Meta charges per delivered template message, priced by category and the recipient’s country (Meta pricing).

You can mix types. A chat button lives fine next to a notification plugin, and Order on Mobile already combines order via WhatsApp and automatic notifications in one plugin.
Be careful with plugins that connect by QR code
Some plugins connect the store’s WhatsApp by scanning a QR code with the phone. That is a WhatsApp Web session, not the official API, and WhatsApp says that linking an account to an unofficial app or website may result in a temporary or permanent ban.
